The Day Everything Changed

A devastating fire destroyed the Nambucca Leagues and Sports Club, taking with it a place that had been at the heart of our community for generations. More than just a building, the club was a gathering place where friendships were formed, milestones were celebrated, and local sport thrived. While the fire changed our landscape forever, it also united our community with a shared determination to rebuild stronger than ever.
On Wednesday 22nd January 2025, the Nambucca Leagues and Sports Club was destroyed by a devastating fire. The blaze took hold at the Club just before 6am.
The Club was subjected to a robbery and arson attack which destroyed the premises.
It took the Fire Brigade three days to finally put the fire out.
The Club premises has since been demolished and is now a Greenfield site.
